valero always looked way better during sparring sessions then he did in a real boxing match......i remember when i first saw him spar erik i was like WOW !!!! then in his real fights he was sloppy as hell, but that dude had some ****en power no doubt about that.......

he had some ****en wars with the santa cruz brothers in the gym

same here. he was way more smooth and polished during sparring. on fight night he would go out guns blazing.

 

i remember seeing him spar erik, the santa cruz bros and then urbano......i was bragging about this dude from pillar to post, then on fightnight everybody was looking at me like i was crazy

 

I've always wondered why Valero was like that.

i've been trying to ignore it, but his death is really starting to bother me.......

 

Kind of ironic that his trainer was talking about stabbing and killing.

Yep i agree. They say in the video he loved being in the ring.. and i always thought he looked better in sparring.. but on fight night i guess all the hype got to him a bit and he was a little over-enthusiastic. Some conditioning and more experience could have cleared that right up. Such a shame we won't get to see this happen.

 

I thought he looked great against Demarco, but yeah, his earlier fights he was just wild.
