Linares boxes professionally for a living. Safe to say he has a pair And btw Linares has already come out and said he wants a fight against Soto
Agreed I was sold on Linares incredibly fast just wish he would step up the competition and fight more often.
Linares has said in the last 3 weeks he wants to fight Soto. A year previously he admitted he wasn't ready for Soto and fair play to him for saying that. I wish Juanma would say he isn't ready for Caballero and stop making everyone think he is so scared.
I wouldnt call those glorified sparring sessions he does in japan beating food delivery guys fighting but to each is own. He said he wanted Soto but when Soto said bring it on Linares said he still needed a tune-up. A tune-up atsch all he has in his career is tune-ups for ****s sake :-(
He was already schedueled to fight in Japan soon-ish and like he says, he owes it to the Japanese boxing fans to fight infront of them sometimes. Japan gave him a life. We all know the Soto fight wont be in Japan so just get over the fact he is thinking of the fans that he grew up boxing professionally with and supported him from the start.
what a bunch of BS if hes really worried about the fans he should give them an actual fight instead of the garbage he has been giving them.
soto would demolish linares, who doesn't have the power to keep him away and doesn't possess the skill/speed of guzman and consistently evade soto. if soto can make a smooth transition to 135, his high guard and tucked in chin will give him an edge on valero. his patience and timing should see him stop valero in 7. linares would be a tougher fight imo.
You just said Soto would demolish Linares yet say Linares would be a tougher fight then Valero when Soto takes 7 rounds to stop Valero?!? :?
yeah linares would win the first five or six rounds boxing and putting together one-twos and combinations but i think soto comes on strong and beats linares to a standstill around the 10th. soto has been outboxed. linares has never been through the adversity he would face against soto. the first few rounds of soto-valero would be cagey, but soto would be teeing up on him by the middle rounds. i'm not a hater, but objective and analytical. i'm a massive hasegawa fan so please don't make him hated by being a delerious nuthugger, thanks :good
Nuthugger? Nah, I dont have any bias, just call it as I see it. I really like both Soto and Linares, two of my favourite fighters, but I gotta back Linares.
