Just another obvious extortion for money by an ABC. TOTALLY ridiculous. They threatened to strip Pavlik because he needed a few more weeks to make a fist.
The good thing is when Soto knocks David the **** out, Valero will fight him if Bradly falls thru. Valeros a champ and they stole it from him.
Valero announced his move up to 140, and rather than strip him outright the WBC announced that they would make him champ in recess while he heals from his injuries. Thereby Soto is fighting Diaz for the interim title. Valero did not in any way request this. I confirmed this with a low level contact I have in the WBC's p.r. department.
:good - the guy fights through one hell of a cut with blood streaming down his face and they call this less than a week later. Can't believe it. I have no doubt Valero can move on however if the title is up for grabs on the Pac/Clottey undercard.
This has Bob Arum's fingerprints on it. Valero is going to be hurt, right up until Pacquiao moves back down to 140 and they can make a fight.
