:good I agree with some of what you say bro. Ed is a big Question Mark but I do believe his power is legit....it's the other variables or componets that makes up a "TRUE CHAMPION" that are still in the air. His skills are on disply in much of his sparring but not in actual fights, he has patchy "D" and wild also very limited Offense aside from his power and we don't know how he does under pressure. He has gotten up from being KD with Mosquera which says he has heart which is very important. I think Ed will be very soild if not a future Hall of Famer given what I can tell so far....but he needs to step up...win loose or draw. ANYTHING would be a step up for ED given Mosquera is his ONLY name presently on his resume.

If Valero knocks out Guzman, I'd hop on the train.

Seriously Guzman has all the tools to really embarrass Valero. Elusive, slick, quick hands and quick as a whip reflexes. He also has the speed to create power against Valero, specifically when Valero comes out with his chin all in the air. If Valero were able to force Guzman into a fight (similar to what Jorge Barrios did), He could catch Guzman with something strong enough to put him down. If he did that there's no question he's legit.

This is no disrespect to Valero as a fighter, but Guzman is all, all wrong for him.

He's got a very good chin and would be able to take Valero's punches I feel, he'd rarely get caught anyway, great speed and boxing ability to find plenty of gaps in Valero's open defense. I think it'll go the distance, but can see Guzman winning about 10 rounds to 2. I'd say he'd stop Valero, but he seems to have left his power all the back at 122.

valero and darchinyan are of the same league imo, if fighter like them is matched to fighters with good counterpunching, they will fall hard..boom just like that!:hat

thats actually a good comparison both big punchers with awkward styles altough i think Vic is a better fighter than Valero but Valero can still prove me wrong in the future

    not even that..

if guzman would have went on with the fight (like nate wanted to) he would be in way better position esp if had beaten campbell.

Guzman would need a tune up or **** loads of sparring against good opponents before fighting a live opponent

Valero would dig the body and break guzman's ribs. That's how to slow down a speed demon like Guzman and Valero knows it, and his new trainer Alcazar will remind him of that.. OF course Guzman will be up on points but the body punches he took will slow him down near 9th round and Valero detroys him with a body head combination.

Guzman gets carried out on a stretcher.
