yo scar it was actually a pretty damn surprising performance. Valero won every round and it wasn't competitive at all. The shots were landing quite hard. Demarco took all the shots, but his will was breaking and he quit on his stool eventually. Seriously, Valero hardly took any shots, he moved in and out well. There was even a moment where Valero dodged like 5 or 6 punches one after another and then threw out a sick left straight counter shot that connected flush. At that point I got up out of my seat and said "Oh hell no I didn't know he could fight like that."
I know....lol If he pulled out a shoulder roll I would of fell out laughing. The guy is well schooled. The picture painted of him by these ESB loons are far from what he is.
This guy is a knockout of the year waiting to happen, just like a said about Darchinyan. He is too predictable, he leaves his head on the same plain as he throws his shots, and then he pulls back with his hands down. The guy that he fought tonight wasnt able or was to scared to take advantage of his many MANY mistakes. I see a very nasty knockout lose in his near future.
c'mon man... that's what people said bout pac when he was coming up. give the guy some credit he looked great tonight. :-(
The problem is the guy that he was fighting and in the other fights that I have seen the other guys didnt punch with him. that is when he is going to get in trouble. Valero jumps in throws a combo and then goes on D. As the fighters he face get better they will punch with him, and when that happens he is going to get knocked out cold.
1e.. I disagree. When pulled his head straight back(floyd does the same thing) he was still watching everything and slipped or rolled the punch anyway. Or threw his right arm guard up in a cagey way. You act like the dude demarco did not try him..lol Valero is the business and the real deal. He dont just jump in and out like pac. He goes under and he is ****ing patient and forces nothing.
Pac was knocked out and beat up several times, until he became a better figher when he fought like that. Plus Pac was never that predictable or slow. Valero looked good tonight vs the guy that he was fighting. But im talking down the line, when he faces a fighter that will punch with him or counter him. I cant see him looking as good should he face guzman, Funeka, or god help him if JMM ever fights at 135 again.
So I guess your going to tell me that he corner didnt tell him "If you want to win you have to throw punches" That dont sound like a guy that tried all that hard. That isnt even the point, the point is the guy didnt do what fighters will do in the near future. that is punch with Valero and counter punch valero. As I said that is when he is going to get in trouble. Its going to be a Darchinyin like KO vs Donaire. He is going to get caught and knocked out with a counter punch. Bet on it.
pac was knocked out at lower weights when he only had his left hand. valero is pretty much like him speed and power and how he throws punches, in fact he is a bigger puncher than pac p4p.
Whatever. I see a raw fighter with alot of holes, and if he isnt matched smart his career will be over SOON. He isnt going to be able to walk to guys and play like football, that is go on offence stop and then go on defence. If he isnt throwing punches then his D isnt that bad, and while on D he is out of position to throw shots. He is a very flawed fighter. Im not saying that he is horrible or anything, but he makes alot of mistakes that will be exploited in the future. Im not going to argue the point, I will say. Lets just disagree for NOW...:good
He was in and out used his left glove to block counters as he backed up. Delivered great combinations, didn't tire like I thought he would, took a couple of decent shots, and persevered when badly badly cut. He has the building blocks of a great fighter. Get him a new trainer that can use those gifts and round him out a bit more. We may have the makings of another superstar if we give him the chance.
Valero showed great skills, massive heart, a good chin, and good power. He does have flaws, but I can't see how anybody can't be impressed with him. Valero adjusted nicely when DeMarco gave it one last go, but Valero was just too good.
