I honestly thought Demarco would start opening up after Valero was badly cut, to my surprise, Valero just kept on going and was improving as the fight went on, a true warrior.
Someone that most likely looks like a China town version of a caterpillar shoe should think twice before commenting on anything's physical appearance.
Valero getting overrated a little. I'm a big fan of his and he can be elite but he's far from a prodigy. I don't think that fight was like Pacquiao vs David Diaz at all. [yt]KTmDWrUbqtg[/yt]
Getting overrated a little?, where have you been?. There have been endless threads and stories over here already about how Pacman is scared of him, I even spotted a few of his ******ed temporary fans claim Pac was so scared of Valero he had to move up two weight divisions above. The guy struggles against tomato cans yet he's ATG stuff already and top 10 P4P according to a few mentally unstable.
Valero made a believer outa me last night. I was one of his biggest critics but he proved me wrong nand I fully admit it and I'm happy about it cause we got a very special fighter on our hands.
Yes, yes.. every fighter gets their fair share of fanatics once they start winning against decent opposition, this is no different and you shouldn't go crazy about it. To be fair, with a decent win he'll go into top15, against Funeka or someone like that he may just see himself as a possible p4p entrant. I think Funeka would get splattered by Valero, but we'll see.
Good victory for Valero. I respect the man for willing to fight on with that gash and STILL goes on to mow down DeMarco. Respect for that. He showed he has improved on his footwork which in turn boosted his defense, but he still keeps his hands low. However, some people around here have him like the second coming of Duran. Valero was expected to win and he did, but if he was in the same situation with that gash with a hard punching Soto, an awkward John, or anyone that is proven that is world class might of pulled an upset of Valero. DeMarco was way too green. Good win for El Inca, but c'mon, even Juan Diaz at this point has better wins over Katsidis, Freitas, and Julio Diaz and was he called great? Of course not. Valero very good, but looks very beatable to me. That's what makes the difference for me between him and someone like Gamboa. I don't think anyone beats Gamboa anytime soon, while Valero stills needs to dominate or ko someone like a Soto, Rios, or Katsidis. Not on the bandwagon yet.
Valero looked like he was emulating PAcquiao in all the little things he did...in n out with short combos...finishing with a right hook and stepping back, etc. Beautiful performance. Demarco is no slouch, he is was considered to be a serious test and Valero's toughest opponent to date.
