I agree, and so will Morales. Valero was also Morales' main sparring partner for his Pacquiao fights. Both Barrera and Morales say Valero is the truth.

He's beaten Mosquera who is no pitty pat puncher. You don't have to be hit with power all of the time to go down in a fight. The very best have been down against ordinary guys. Going down creates sceptics, and the greats love to prove doubters wrong...

Because he can make more money in the deepest division in boxing.

Soto has not even won a title yet where Valero has. The fight is just not on either fighters radar...at the moment.

Why is Valero the number one guy at the WBC? If you move up from being a champion, yoiu should be in the top ten like Haye is. Well, we are talking about he WBC. This is not fair to the guys waiting for their shot at the title.

Because he is a former sfw world champion who vacated his title. All world champions have that right. There is nothing unfair about this decision.

If I was Valero I will be afraid of Soto too. Also at least Soto beat Juarez who is a better fighter than Valeros entire competition combine.

You know Im glad Santa Cruz lost, because it would of set up an overhyped match between Valero and Cruz.

Valero had a great shot of TKO'ing Cruz in the 1st round and his stock would of been inflated more than it currently is, heck even if he were to get a TKO in the 6th like Pitalua did, Valero would get overhypped, but now if Valero TKOs Pitalua no one would really give a ****.

Be afraid of Soto? lol...Juarez hasn't won a title yet. Soto beat Juarez because he was bigger than him. When Soto fought Guzman he lost. When Soto wins a world title, then you can brag about him. Valero would smash Soto anyway. Soto keeps moving up and down in weight trying to win a title, and he still hasn't won one yet.

They must of forgot to give Haye that right and he had three belts. This is just a way to push Valero to the title much quicker and hoping to get a fight with Pac. I have seen champs put in as close as top five. He has done nothing at 135. I don't think it is a rule or a right. I don't know for a fact, but really look back at others that moved up. The black Panther with several belts; top five. Toney, CW champ moved up; top five. I am tired and get remember the rest.

I'd favor Soto over Valero since he throws straighter punches. I have no clue why you brought up his lost against Guzman. Valero doesn't fight like that.

You have a point. It seems this happens in the lower weights more than the higher weights. It is only a fight for the interim title anyway. Haye could've challenged Wlad for the heavy title. Heck, I miss the days of a Bob Foster fighting Ali and Frazier coming from heavy. Haye should've just demanded a fight with Wlad right away coming from CW.

I brought up the loss because Soto has not showed us yet that he can shine when he has to...yet. He had the title in the bag from what I heard but got DQ'd. I didn't see the fight so I don't know. I like Soto, but you overrate him. I can take the "who has Valero beaten" comment... but not comments like "I'd be afraid of Soto too". I was telling you the fight just doesn't make sense at the moment, and you still persisted/insinuated that Valero might be afraid of Soto?

I don't overrate Soto, I just think he can beat Valero. He might not be afraid of him but he knows it will be a tough fight for him. I just hate it when these fighters get belts by fighting bums I have never heard of like when Banal faced that Conception guy for the WBA strap.

Something telling me Haye is going to be counting lights when he gets dropped by Vlad. I wish him luck and hope he can back what he is saying. I do like the trash talk. I use to do the same thing back in the day. Getting into the opponent's head is great. Oh, the opponent will always tell you that you will not get to him, but believe me it always does. Vinnie Paz vs Dana Rosenblatt. I knew Dana and told him to not listen to Paz's trash talk and he got caught up and got knocked out, but he did win the rematch.
