I was a huge skeptic but after seeing him fight tonight live in person, I have changed my mind.

Obviously his opponent wasn't the best, but physical attributes don't lie. The speed, coordination, power, etc....He has the tools to beat anyone out there. Manny, JMM, etc.

As the still largely unproven commodity, he would rightfully be the underdog against those names.. He would be a live underdog, though, and I would definitely put $$$ on him against any big name out there.

I'm glad he's likely going to be fighting in the States again (he's entertaining), but don't proclaim him the messiah until he gets some mental attributes to match the physical ones.

    I proclaim, my friend.

My bottle of aquafina turned to merlot after he merely glanced at it....Then I turned around and saw just one set of footprints.

He's taken the first steps towards legitimacy, blowing out Pitalua. He should be fighting guys a step up next.

I've seen few fights of Valero....I saw this Pitalua fight, and quite frankly, I just dont see where Valero is going to compete with real elite fighters coming in with his chin held up as high as it is.

Valero fights tall.....he comes in tall and with his head raised.....and just when he bursts with his punches, his chin arcs up even taller in full exposure.......

Imo, all the fighters he mentioned afterward beat him......

    Juan Diaz-midrounds KO......

JMM- 3 or 4 round KO.....Marquez will hurt Valero badly with a timed accurate counter.......

Pac- the same as JMM, but with a more brutal finish, a sleep job by Pacquiao imo. Valero will be put to sleep and lay there for minutes.

Hatton- Hatton tucks his chin in, and assaults the stand tall Valero to the body, and lays him out to the chin.

My goodness, the announcing team led by Barry Tompkins and that included Bernard Hopkins, really were speaking highly of the excitement that Valero could bring with his puncing power......but my goodness, a 39 year old Pitalua could'nt handle Valero's speed.....

I agree, as far as excitment, Valero is going to bring that.....just imo, he's going to get embarrassed by the upper tier A level fighters.

He is not that good in my opinion. I REALLY do not understand the hype around him.
