Is this confirmed? I've seen this mentioned twice now. Or is it at least possible? I heard JMM couldn't make 135 anymore, and I thought Valero was moving up too?

Is this even a rumor or just a fantasy match up by the TS?

Valero has been rumored to face Lamont Peterson and Bradley in the last month.

Interesting that Valero's name is floating around so much considering that he currently is unable to fight in the States.

Thats probably rumor but if the money is right I doubt that JMM have really
problem with coming back to 135lb, the fight at 140 have less sense since
JMM never fought at that weight either so there is no prize for them beside
    WBC Diamond belt.

That statement is a bit overrated assuming that JMM was beaten recently
only by Floyd who was cheating him coming to fight about 50 lb over the WW limit.

The proper perspective should be based on what JMM and Valero did last time at 135lb.

great match. If Valero wins he makes a name for himself and gets known to the general public. If Marquez beats the young lion he further solidifies he status as a great fighter. I think that at this point Valero is going to be too much for JJM

Fight should be at 140. Both Marquez and Valero are available and both are looking for a big fight. I think internationally Valero vs Marquez would be HUGE and the winner would stand tall in the boxing world. Boxing can always use another "adored champion" and I think a win for either guy would do that for them. Atleast for as little or as long as they lasted. I also think Marquez is capable of getting inside Valero's flurries, "Go swimming without getting wet", as Naseem Richardson advised Shane Mosley to do against Margarito. Marquez has a great way of getting inside his opponents punches, counter punching inside the "eye of the storm", so to speak. Being he just went 12 with Floyd I'm guessing Vegas bookies make him a 3-1 fave. Much closer fight tho, could be a gamblers dream. Make it happen!

I think Valero v Marquez would be pretty great and could do well in Mexico since Valero hasn't been cleared to fight in USA.

Wow..What a fight that would be..Doubt it would be at 135..
Valero constantly attacking - Marquez countering Valero's non-existant defence = Great fight in the making..
