Come on! Marquez would counter on valero`s face all night long, marquez by UD or late ko.

JMM is past his best... hmmm... I think JMM still takes a decision. He can stand up to Valero's power and outbox him for most of the fight. I really don't want to see JMM take these kind of fights right now, against young guys who want to prove themselves. I want to see him fighting big name, well established guys and making his money before he rides off into the sunset.

Don't know about this. JMM is my favorite fighter but he got shook by Juan Diaz's pillow hands. If the fight goes into the late rounds I can see JMM beating Valero with his effective counters. If JMM gets caught early, he's going down on the canvas. Would hate to see JMM lose but wouldn't mind seeing Valero's career get catapulted either.

Valero would have to have the fight of his life to beat JMM, but if JMM looks anything like the master he was 135 on down, Valero is getting beat. I think it will be closer than alot of people think. JMM by decision.

This, you guys are thinking about the JMM that fought under 130 lbs , sure i'd pick that guy over Valero but the JMM that fought Juan Diaz, he wouldn't last 6 rounds with Valero, he was really hurt in the early rounds and lost like 5 rounds to Diaz, Marquez is still a great fighter that doesn't rely on athleticism but the man is 36 years old he's not the same and it shows.

....If JMM shows up as slow as when he fought PBF then Valero might have a chance!

However, JMM is an old warrior but i'd still favor him to win by UD if he is fit. SD if JMM's age will finally show up...

Amir Khan will be a more difficult FIGHT for JMM.

    He was hurt?:huh
Go over to youtube and watch that hook Diaz lands......he literally almost came off his feet and had his whole momentum flying toward Marquez when he landed that shot.....and it only shook Marquez for a split second......at no other time during the fight did Marquez' legs buckle from any of Diaz' shots.

I dont care how good you are boxistically......but if your mentality is to land shots with force, you're going to get hit if you're facing a good enough fighter.

In both Marquez' fights at lightweight against Casa and Diaz, he was throwing shots with real intent.......and that flying left hook was the only shot that just briefly shook Marquez
He was caught by that hook because he himself was throwing bombs.

Educate yourself by watching both those Casa and Diaz fights.......they both landed some good shots at Marquez and there is'nt any indication there that would suggest Marquez cant take good shots from a naturally bigger fighter.

Even the Mayweather fight, that left hook by Mayweather was lightning fast and on the button.....and yet Marquez got right up.
The man can take a good shot, because even when dropped, he's gotten right back up and has been already recovered by the time he gets up.

Im not saying that he can't take a shot, he hasn't been KO'd in 56 fights and i watched those fights (the Diaz fight more than once ) and he was definitely hurt at some point early in the fight there's no question about it, he was also having a hard time handling Diaz pressure

And the Mayweather fight was a joke i don't even want to talk about it, the only reason why he didn't KO Marquez is because that's not his style, he didn't even try.

diaz is a light hitter and casa was shot when he fought jmm.

I hate to break it to you divac but your boy is already old at this point. moving up to fight floydie was a bad move, imo. Valero will knock jmm out cold! I'm willing to have a lifetime bet with you ifever this fight happens.

I hope and pray this fight gets made to prove my point.:hi:
