Valero's going to ruin Demarco, get outclassed when he steps up his opponent, get a big-name trainer, learn actual boxing skills, then clean up between 130 and 147. By 2011 or 2012 he'll be top 10 P4P. Unless he self-destructs in Venezuela and ruins his own career. You heard it here first.
From what I heard from a friend who went to the fight in Venezuela, it was RTD 6. Velazquez was pretty game though, he managed to injure Valero's nose. Also, he lasted quite a bit, which is an accomplishment vs Valero. The result was virtually identical to Pacquaio's win over Velazquez, same round. . odd ain't it.
Not really, Velasquez is incredibly durable. Other than a few early TKOs losses in his career once he hit his prime only Pacquiao managed to stop him. Hector can crack pretty good as well so can't get too wild in there with him.
I saw the fight it sucked , Valero was wild from the start his nose was broken from a headbutt wich made him even wilder he just wanted to kill the guy , Velazquez wasn't even fighting back he was just avoiding Valero running around moving his head he landed like 10 punches in the whole fight.
Valero gets wild when he's coming out of the gate or when he senses fear and pain in his opponent. He can counter-punch and be hard to hit if he needs to.
I know im a fan myself but this fight sucked he was even wilder he just wanted to take Velazquez head off he was bleeding A LOT from the headbutt.
No chance Katsidis makes it out of the 1st round. Valero is a monster and Katsidis got ktfo by an old light punching Cassamayor!
He probably just got pissed about the being headbutted twice causing cuts to his nose and eyebrow. He needs to fight with more composure when he faces Demarco or other better opponents.
This is actually something a savvy boxer could use against El Inca. . .use his anger and wildness against him. Valero really gets pissed when hit or fouled. However, to be able to take advantage of that wildness, one would have to maintain calm and composure while on the tail end of Valero's assault. . .that takes skills and balls. I actually see Casamayor and JMM as two guys who have the skill and balls to counter Valero's assault. I don't see DeMarco or Katsidis being able to do this.
