Good post! Aside from your post, I think Pac is a special fighter. I just want Pac to fight the best in their prime. I've seen too many greats fight during my lifetime, and for some reason, PAc is not great in my eyes...yet!

Valero has the potential to become a star much like Pac therefore a probable milking cow for Top Rank. He has a power that makes him very dangerous even to the elite fighters. All he needs is a exposure to bigger boxing audience. Valero means an investment that can bring a lot of money to Arum.

A Pacman/Valero fight is a longshot, but once Pacman retires Valero will carry his torch.

without looking at boxrec, could you name 5 fighters that valero beat? and among those five are there who could compare to jmm with regard to getting up from kds

That's possible as everything is possible in boxing but IMO it is not likely to happen. Valero is a very powerful puncher but he is too slow for JMM. I can see JMM outboxing him for an easy UD with his underrated handspeed and accurate punches to go with his noted excellent defense.

YOU DID NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION!!!

IF PAC KO's your VALERO what will you SAY?!

IF for some strange reason VALERO wins over PAC, specially if he KO's PAC. I'll give him full credit NO EXCUSES!!!!

NOW! Simple question needs simple answers. If pac wins over VALERO
    what will you say?!:think

I've got a hunch that Valero could beat J.M.M lol. Call it a hunch! I don't look at boxing like I'm Spock. I know or have met almost every known fighter and their comp since 1980 just passing through gyms all across this world. The "could you name 5 fighters that Valero beat" question is a question you shouldn't ask if YOU don't know!

I'm taking Diaz by KO so I see Valero/Diaz happening instead if JMM/Valero. Valero beates both.

anyone else notice this part from the source

Edwin Valero, the 24-0, 24 KO super featherweight contender from Venezuela, has signed with Top Rank. Bob Arum made the announcement today. “Edwin Valero is one of the most exciting fighters in the world today,” Arum said. “We are very pleased he has signed with Top Rank. We are planning in the months ahead to showcase him so the public can see how talented he is.” Arum said Valero’s first bout with Top Rank will soon be announced. Valero will campaign at 130 pounds, the super featherweight division.

I agree with you, Pac is special but I also see him as great. Maybe not among the top but nonetheless great considering what he has accomplished. Pac has fought the best of his time, it just so happened that those so called "best" are older than him that their "prime-ness" was doubted by many. He could had fought and beaten young champs or contenders like Juan Diaz, Valero, Juarez or Soto but I doubt if he would gain any credit as he did not get any in beating the likes of undefeated Solises and Luceros.
