"he just knocks everyone out with 1 hit, everyone is afraid of his punch so they fight like ****" -my friend who does not follow boxing, but was at velero's fight live in austin
It could be smart matchups by his promoters, but knocking a guy out that has 46 wins with 40ko's and 4 losses is pretty impressive.
You can tell by watching him he ain't that good.....yet. Sure he obviously has KO power but it takes more than that to beat someone of elite caliber. Hopefully he'll improve or at least raise his game when he's given that step up in class.
What's the other side of Valero? The upside? This was Soul Glo's fourth fight outside of Mexico and third in the US. I don't recognize anybody of his KOs offhand, but maybe someone else here does. He's got four fights in the US, five in Japan, two in Panama, one in Argentina, one in France, and one in Mexico. The rest are in that Mecca of Boxing: Venezuela. Carpet Head is the most experienced opponent he's ever had. Wait until he fights something vaguely resembling a gatekeeper before anointing him.
You can even make it 30-0 if you want but if the wins are over tomato cans who cares?! Bottom line is he only over ATG Mosqueda:rofl:rofl:rofl and ULTRA prime PITALUA at 39 yrs old! :hi: Yup! BEATING a 39 yr old nowadays is something to be proud of! :silly:dead:silly
And beating David Diaz for his paper title is really great.lol Yup that's what great fighters do. rofl
I hope Valero fights somebody WORTH mentioning next time.. For the longest time there was only Mosqueda to talk about! and now the ultra prime PITALUA at 39 yrs old!!!! :-nut:-( Sure dude! Tell the whole world that Valero's resume improved leaps and bounds by beating the ULTRA prime PITALUA! :blurp
