Camacho outboxes him and wins a close decision. they go out partying afterward chasing women and binging on coke.
Valero had a eye-catching record against modest opposition. Camacho was infinitely more proven, he'd be a tough matchup for most 130-135 fighters in history. A big Camacho weakness was that he had a tendency to go into a defensive shell when he got hurt, or was hit with consistency. I don't think that happens here.
Valero, whilst not proven against elite level opposition, certainly had elite-level eye catching talent. I think Valero was truly a special talent, too bad he wasted it all.
Rosario should have gotten the decision IMO, but he didn't give Camacho a beating. Camacho was running too much for that to happen. Rosario was a better fighter than Valero anyway. Chavez gave Camacho a bad beating, but Chavez is an ATG anyway, miles better than Valero ever proved to be. Camacho had declined quite a bit by then, most likely from excessive amounts of cocaine and alcohol. What a waste of talent Camacho was. Valero too.
Yeah, Tony Ayala, an undefeated fighter who beat modest opposition but could have/should have/would have done this and was said to be awesome in the gym.
