what the **** do I care if they're overrated; overrated's a reflection of the people/fans doing the rating, not the fighters themselves. Have we become that jaded as a fanbase that we can't just enjoy watching 2 exciting fighters fight without worrying about whether or not other people are "rating" them properly? Sometimes I wonder if people would be happier just not watching the fights at all and receiving a perfect, 100% accurate rating list delivered to them the next day instead.

 

as long as they keep fighting and winning the way they are doing(by KO) i dont give a crap if someone think they are overrated,they are fun to watch...
Valero may have the power to put gamboa on the canvas but i dont know if he has the power the keep him down when he gets up throwing bombs(as he usually does)Valero is always wide open to get hit...and Gamboa isnt Pitalua.

Valero has been adjusted at a higher weight division for awhile now and he'd be the much stronger man in there. Gamboa would get manhandled and knocked the **** out.

Gamboa's offensive arsenal is impressive but he ignores the fundamentals of boxing when he's clearly no Roy jones or Sweet pea. Only those fighters types of gifted fighters can fight on their terms but Gamboa isn't one of them. He keeps his chin in the air, backs up straight instead of moving out in angles, and he keeps his hands literally all the way down by his side..

Valero would catch him once and it would be all over.

 

because JMM has been down plenty of times in his career. just think that Juan Diaz had JMM stunned like 3 times in there fight and hes no where close to having Valeros power, thats how Valero is gonna win.

 

Doubt Gamboa's glass jaw would stand up to Valero's power.

Gamboa has the skills to be a champion and will fight anyone. Valero on the other hand has fought **** opposition, put him with a top 10 lightweight and see what happens to your precious fighter

Texas is insane for approving Valero's license with the risk of his head popping like a pinata. In six months, they'll probably approve Margarito. :-(

 

Yeah, ok, some people are going around saying Valero would KO Pac and all that, but generally I don't think Valero is overrated, he is just an exciting fighter with a recent record, just because he has attracted a lot of new fans doesn't mean that he is overrated as such.
