Gamboa gets KO'd at this point in both careers....Give Gamboa some time to hone his craft as a PRO. He's a talented fighter but he needs some serious competition to get ready for a POWER puncher like Valero. If they fight within this year Gamboa gets KO'd mid rounds.
valero is a smart *****..he avoided a unification with guzman before when guzman wanted to fight him. I doubt it he'll fight gamboa, not only he will get expose but he'll look very stupid in the process once gamboa toys with him. He wants to call out pac because he knows he's all **** and wants one last big payday if ever he gets expose
Fitz will tell you all about him.. These two are overhyped, especially Gamboa.. Valero, a strong puncher with a few flaws vs Gamboa, a skilled but still green prospect.. I say it would be an alright fight.. I'd give it to Valero based on experience..
Guzzy would beat Gamboa too at this stage. But I think Valero would land a good shot to take Guzman out late. the fight would be a bit boring b/c Guz likes to stick and move and he is skilled enough to keep Valero off balanced and not set to land punches but later in the rounds I see Guzman getting slower and tired which would be Key for Valero to land a money shot.
Agreed!:good But they are not overhyped by the general boxing analysts and experts...just fans who like the flashy punches and slick footwork...with Valero...the fans love the power.. But they are legit in their respective careers. Just not ready for the very best....Valero will be as ready as he can in facing PAC but Gamboa needs some more pro rounds and legit opposition. but the talent is undeniable.
Gamboa over-hyped? You guys are nuts....and sandman I think your just scared that a guy who only has 9 fights could beat your man Pacquiao. Gamboa looks to be the real deal and I think he slaughters Valero in the 3-5 round range
Gamboa's not really over-hyped. The people who know boxing know this kid is the real deal and could be a ATG. BUT....there are people who are delusional to think at this stage in his young pro career that he can take out Top P4P champions like PAC or even a very good & solid champion like Valero. Gamboa is very much a talented fighter and I see great things for the kid....but don't destroy a perfectly good prospect by moving his career too fast too soon. There are many examples of fighters who were just as HYPED and basically commited career suicide by there handlers by putting them in the ring with far more experienced fighters. give him time to grow, become a seasoned pro.... By 19 fights he should be ready for a World title....after that he could challenge and test his skills against the best like PAc. But saying right now he's ready to top the best! that's some ol' bulls ****.
I think it should happen but for Gamboa sake a yr or more down the line. he is far too green at this stage in his career to seriously consider a World Champion who has dynamite in both hands.
