I go for Valero by ko/tko. I see Edwin's speed and power really taking toll on Katsidis, san see like 4 knockdown before ref jumps in. Would love to see the fight as i could easily be wrong due to the considerable improvements Katsidis has shown. FOTY candidate if it ever took place. Thoughts...

Valero demolishes him inside 5 rounds IMO. Katsidis showed to some extent he doesn't like southpaws with handspeed against an old Casamayor. I dread to think what would happen against Valero.

Who's the dude on here that's got the Katsidis avatar? Is it Losfer or Kosaros? Or am I full of it?
Nevermind, yes it would be a foty candidate. But it's 50-50 for me.

Probably Valero, but if Katsidis had a trainer it could be different. It's a shame he has never had a real trainer.

4 rounds of war, but ultimately Katsidis gets ko'd. Was watching the Casamayor v Katsidis fight the other night funnily enough

The possibilities at 135 and 140 are endless at the moment.

It would be a great fight and I'm one of not confident of predicting. The questions for me would be all about Valero. We know all about Katsidis but what will Valero be like against someone who can take his punch and hard just as hard? Maybe Katsidis is that man...

Katsidis got stopped by Casamayor and has a tendency to go to war, I think that spells disaster (for him) against Valero who appears to be improving.

Not sold on Valero at all, fairly fast but poor punching form and his 'power' just hasn't been proven against anyone decent.

He's about as hittable as Katsidis and wouldn't pose the same kind of problems as Casamayor; Katsidis braves the early storm and lays it on with hooks like Mosquera managed to rock Valero with; Katsidis KO 7.

Not flaming ya at all mate, but I don't see this at all. He's still atrocious.

Watched his fight with Velasquez yesterday, walked into some shots that if thrown by a better puncher would've wiped him out, still has the same tendency to wing away rather than picking his shots.

What I hate about Valero is that he has the ability to throw nice, hard single shots, for example the first Pitalua knockdown.....the way he finishes opponents in that sloppy manner just irks me.

I think Katsidis is too open for a power puncher like Valero.

I can see Katsidis landing more often, but Valero will land with more authority. Katsidis could visit the canvas a couple of times before it ends or Valero might just catch him with something massive early and end it right there.

Haven't seen as much of Valero as I would like, for obvious reasons, but what I have seen suggests that he can take a good dig (down early against Mosquera, but went on to take some flush punches before winning it). I think it will take someone with a bit more saavy, ring skills and punch resistance than Katsidis currently owns to take Valero into deep water late in a fight and drown him.

I could see this fight ending within the first 4 rounds. Valero T/KO.
