Valero vs Pacquiao in 2011 would have been something special.

    by way of live fight

    rudy hernandez
“I actually met Valero before he was champion, I knew him when he first came over here to the USA. He was just a beast…I’ll tell you I know he would have taken Manny Pacquiao apart in one or two rounds. In his fight with Tony DeMarco he carried him because he wanted to show people he could box but when he set his mind on something he was a very dangerous guy.”

Valero would famously win all 27 contests inside schedule before flipping one day, stabbing his wife to death before taking his own life later in the police cell. Having known him a while was Rudy surprised at the sudden and violent ending to Valero’s life which came just two months after stopping DeMarco?

“I was very surprised he killed his wife but I wasn’t at all surprised when he killed himself” says Hernandez. “He was a street guy, a hoodlum. He could be a nice guy when he had to be but also a vicious son of a *****. I think the moment it dawned on him what he had done, to murder the woman he loved more than anything and the mother of his children, he knew he had to even it out by committing suicide…it would have been an easy choice for him.”

I agree Valero would get Hattoned. I think Valero had a lot of ability, he would just rarely use it. He'd come out in his usual way against Pac and get KTFO.

the fight between pac-valero was almost a done deal until oscar ducked margarito and lured/cherrypicked pacquiao out of the valero fight.

Valero hit Demarco with everything he had and never even hurt him. Pac brutalizes him.

People are excited about Lomochenko precisely because he has an exciting style like Pac amd Valero...

People dont get excited about the next Andre Ward.
