Valero vs Rios

DeMarco was bigger but he's not the brawler that Rios is. Rios would have tko DeMarco.

 

DeMarco is a natural brawler but his team transformed him into a pretty good boxer/puncher. I would love to see DeMarco get back into the mix against a quality opponent. There are a lot of good matches to be made at 135lbs. I hope they don't duck each other like the 140lbers have done for far too long.

 

Rios IS good, but Valero's power would be too much. The very thing that makes Rios a good, exciting fighter would be what gets him dropped and stopped v. Valero. Rios wants to fight, and he'll take some to give some. Valero had crazy power, and if you give him some open shots, he'll take your head off. I'm one of those guys that thought Valero was special. Nobody 'cleans house' on fighters like Pac and JMM, but Valero, imho, belonged in their class. Rios doesn't. I can see him maturing and developing into an Humberto Soto level fighter, which is excellent.
