After Valero's win yesterday, his management said they are looking to fight in Texas by September. A possible opponent they named was Rocky Juarez.

    Thoughts and predictions?

Could be interesting. Juarez could use a win, he's fairly tough too. See how the hard fights have effected him.

How does Rocky keep getting title shots is what this thread should be asking, but Valero will possibly knock him out if Rocky gets careless. I hope for Rocky, he finally gets a title. I have never seen Valero fight and I am wondering if he fought any top ten fighters instead of all this Asian minor belt holders. By the way, no disrespect to Asians.

Absolutely horrible matchup for Valero and a dream matchup for Juarez. Guaranteed victory here for Juarez.. most likely an early stoppage. I highly doubt this fight would come off though, Valero's team would have to be nuts to sign it.

Juarez is a good fighter but he's too slow. Valero is a dangerous man. Tko-7.

Fantastic!!! this is what I mean by stepping it up and fighting quality opposition. While Juarez will never be confused with the top elites of this era, he is nevertheless a quality and dangerous opponent for for any top fighter in that division. He is a stern test by which we can then measure Valero. Lets see what he can do here. Finally a name opponent instead of the usual dose of cans he has been fed.

Juarez has the advantage here, he's a more technically skilled fighter and his shorter punches will find the mark often. It's also unlikely Valero will KO him as Rocky has a very solid chin, on the other and i dont think Valero can take to many of Juarez's.

    Juarez TKO

if this pulls through, i'd finally respect valero's handlers for taking on someone who actually has plans of winning the fight. from fighting class d fighters to fighting a legit class b.

both loved to slug it out and neither was hard to find.

he who connects first wins. i favor valero for his capability to end the fight with just a punch.
