since valero won via KO again and called out pac, who should he fight next in order to get a legitimate shot in the pac lotto?

maybe a fight against bobby pac? haha
but seriously, arum tried to set up a mega fight between sotto and pac by pitting bobby against soto first. pac vs. coto just got ditched when golden boy and top rank settled their tug o war for pac's contract

Called out Pac?, is he serious?
You can only take him serious if he beats a REAL threat and then calls out Pac, beating bums and calling out Pac is just a waste of time and a waste of Pac's time if he takes this fight.

If Valero fights Pacquaio in the next 2 years, he will be completely obliterated. He has too many flaws.

Honestly, it's a 50/50 fight. Both fighters leave enough openings for the other to exploit.

Personally - and just on gut feel alone - I'd go with Valero. Pac has a lot more mileage and I feel that Valero would do to Pacquiao what Pacquiao did to Ledwaba.

agree. team pac is not even considering him in pac's 2008 schdule of 3 fights (?), eventhough valero was endorsed by mab during the post fight conference after mab vs. pac II and valero challenged him during that conference

Call me crazy, and I don't mind it......Valero would lose to Gamboa if they fought in March of next year.

Worthless fight for Pac, Valero hasn't done anything to deserve this fight, all he has done so far is beat bums to be honest and opponents that came to get knocked out in fashion. If he fights and beats tough opponents then everyone will back him up when he calls Pac but it's a pointless fight so far.

true, because of these two fighters desire to KO their opponents, they do tend to leave themselves open for a solid counterpunch.

but a ledwaba like ending for pac is unlikely, i think. In pac vs. ledwaba, pac was a last minute substitute and ledwaba had no idea on what he was gonna face that night. Its a 50/50 fight because of their power but I dont pac will underestimate valero

maybe a fight with soto is a good start. And of course, team pac, it seems, is not to keen on fighting valero because the latter can only fight outside of the US and in such a case, it will earn less. It will be an interesting and exciting fight but the money will not merit team pac's attention, i guess

I have not seen enough of John to say that.....only seen him once, and it was against JMM.

I don't think he can beat the others right NOW. But by the end of next year, it is entirely possible. Last guy I saw like this.....Roy Jones Junior.

In the 3 fights I have seen Gamboa in so far, he has looked as though he was playing with the fighters he was fighting. I am not sure he is trying. His speed to power ratio is magnificant so far, and he seems to have the complete offensive arsenal. If his chin turns out to be solid, he will be something to behold.

He reminds me of the prospect Jones, not the Jones who beat Toney. But even the prospect Jones was in a league of his own at an early stage IMO. Gamboa just needs some polish and to show poise when facing a good fighter....
