he should fight elite fighters at 130lbs before we comment on his skills. Sparring is sparring and not a fight.
You pick Gamboa & Guzman as the ones who stand a chance and not Pacquiao or JMM? Pac or JMM would KTFO Valero.. Valero has 23 wins with 23 KO's against nobodies and ya'll are already claiming he's the best in the SFW division? Valero still has much more **** to learn.. Now way in hell he'll Pacquiao, JMM, or Guzman.. Valero doesn't deserve that title he's got. Valero is all hype.. Once he comes to fight in America, I say he gets knocked out.. :bbb:good
Marquez would counter Valero silly...and to be completely honest a fight against JMM or Pac would be brutal to watch considering the potential implications of Valero getting wrapped in the head too much.
Mosquera hasn't fought any top notch experienced fighters either. Where you fight means little once you've stepped between the ropes. Not to mention that Valero had fought in Panama before. To me, valero is the same as Edison Miranda, minus the big mouth. Lots of raw power. Little in real skill or finesse. That said, like Miranda his power will get him some good wins. But also like Miranda, he'll be exposed sooner or later for what he is.....and that is a very one dimensional slugger.
I give gamboa & guzman more of a chance because they have slick defence and amazing reflexes. Pac and marquez are both too offensive oriented and marquez is smaller than valero in height and maybe reach as well. I think valero would be able to hurt marquez a lot easier than marquez would hurt valero. It just looks like valero would overwhelm marquez to me. Against pac i think valero would just overpower him. I can see pacman trying to trade and valero getting the better of it, hurting pacquaio and backing him up, then finishing him.
Mosquera beat up 3-k battery, the good one, the one that beat steve forbes. Even if Valero fought in panama before he was still in hostile territory, i mean just look at all the crap they threw at him after the knockdown. Valero has as much finesse and skill as he needs, he's a thinking fighter not some clueless brawler. Well comparing him to miranda is alright since miranda has a lot of heart and skill the way he fought eastman and abraham but its better if you compared him to pavlik. Lots of power, workrate and accuracy with a good enough chin.
Well I have to disagree.. In a Valero vs JMM fight, I see Valero pushing with JMM counter-punching the **** out of him.. No way Valero would overpower Pac while trading shots.. Valero's defense sucks as he keeps his hands low and chin high.. One connect to that chin by a left from Pacquiao, it's lights out.. I don't even see how ya'll can mention him in a fight with Pac or JMM.. He hasn't even fought a B level fight yet imo.. Let him fight Barrios & Juarez, and then Guzman.. To be honest with you, I can see Barrios giving Valero trouble, even winning.. Guzman, JMM, & Pac all dominate Valero IMO.
3-k was 35 years old. On top of that, what has Mosquera done since his loss to Valero almost two years ago? The answer is nothing. He hasn't even fought. So like I've said.....Edwin has proved little. And trust me, the Miranda comparison is much closer to valero than a Pavlik Comparison. Pavlik is much more technicly sound and has been in and beat tested, world class competition.
JMM can counter-punch but valero is a pretty good counter puncher himself. He's not super technical like marquez but he still gets the job done. Everyone talks about how open he is and what not but why dont they capitalize on it? I mean the only person to hit him really cleanly and hurt him was mosquera. It's a lot harder to hit valero than it looks. Barrios i dont think would be able to handle valero's power. Valero looks faster than freitas and throws more punches. I can easily see a first round ko against barrios. Jaurez is no contest, he'd be eating every punch in the book. guzman might last the distance, jmm and pac get tkoed in mid-late rounds.
Well i heard mosquera was in jail or something, even if 3-k was 35 years old he was coming off a good win over steve forbes. Edwin hasn't proven much because everyones afraid of him. If it wasn't for his brain injury bs, he'd be on top of the world by now. If edwin fought pacman it would go similarly to pavlik vs miranda, with edwin as pavlik and pacman as miranda.
Because he hasn't had a fight with anyone.. Mosquera was the only decent fighter and he got his shots in on Valero.. I guess Valero would KO Campbell, Casa, & all the Diaz's as well, huh? atsch Then comparing Valero to Pavlik? That gets a double atschatsch.. Hell No. Thats the worst comparison ever.. The day Valero beats, or even "KO's" Pacquiao, I'll put that KO picture right beside my name.
Then do me a favor and please find me when and if they fight. Not only would I like to make a wager with you, I'll give you odds. :hey Same goes with Marquez. If Valero moves up, come talk to me. We can discuss those fights too.
TAKE a look at his resume if he's for real. As far as I recall he could only speak of Mosqueda as a worthy opponent. Take out Mosqueda in his resume what what DO YOU HAVE? Which of list can he say he is PROUD OF? Practically NOTHING! If you are into simply numbers! That is DAMN impressive 23-0 all by KO's but if you care to LOOK who are these boxers. You will UNDERSTAND WHAT I'm saying! In boxing, it's NOT all number of W's. To whom are these W's came from also counts!
I have never seen him fight before, but am really looking forward to him fight. Many have said he has awesome power, but I don't know how well he does in the boxing skills department.
I think he could KO all of those guys, maybe not juan diaz since his chin is pretty solid. Valero and pavlik are comparable, but valero has more power for his division, and not as much height. Be ready for that picture if or when this fight happens.
