Valero is the WBA super featherweight champion ... He's undefeated w/ 23 win ... all coming by KO ... thats impressive and gives the impression of a very entertaining style. He has some work to do ... but I think he can learn that on the job ... if he finds himself in there with an opponent that will make him make adjustments and gives him a tough fight then he would be fit to make improvements in the gym. He also needs to get himself a co-trainer ... maybe one of the Floyd Sr ...
His power can carry him through two divisions ... lightweight and super lightweight. He rocked Santa Cruz in sparring ... with bigger gloves and head gear ... I think that he would be able to KO most of the elite of those two divisions --
I understand his power quite well. What I also understand, and what you fail to take into consideration, is his lack of D. His low hands. His chin up, and his modest competition that has allowed him to get away despite these flaws.
He should look for a decent fighter. He has already padded his resume it's time to stop fighting cab drivers. What will he prove if he wins 50 fights all by K.O. but none of which is an elite fighter? If he wants to be recognized as a good fighter he should start fighting decent fighters.
like I said a boxer can pile up a lot of W's provided he fights class B or C fighters... After Mosqueda, HONESTLY who was/is the worthy OPPONENT of Valero:huh . Not much I guess..
