Valero's power won't be much effective over 135lbs

He hit like a tank at 130lbs. 1 shot power pretty much.

At 135lbs not so much(still hard as ****), hes pretty small for the division. Not only that but tonight he was massively out sized. That didn't stop him from completely outclassing demarco, out boxing him, and just controlling the pace of every round. Lets stop the gay absurd comparisons between him and guys like De Leon.. (some have compared him to the like).

He has an educated approach, not massively skilled nor does he have blistering speed. But he punches through you - not at you, and hes some what effective. Kinda wish he was still at 130lbs and that he had some decent opposition down there. I think his power is just sinister at 130.

Does anyone know if he moved up for $/better opponents... or was he having issues with his weight?

By the way, I don't think Valero will be effective AT ALL at 140lbs. Guys are too big there IMO. He impressed the **** outta me tonight though. He stretched his talent tonight at least in my eyes. Hopefully he continues to improve.

he needs to improve his precision, head movement and footwork if he wants to bang with the big boys. His speed, power, determination and the way he throws his punches is what impresses me, very pac-like.

I also don't intend to take anything away from him with this thread. I couldn't believe Valero fought the fight with that 2 inch gash on his forehead. It was worst than what Calderon had I think. And it was leaking blood for about the first 5 rounds before it just dried out and clotted. Unbelievable man, ****ing animal warrior straight up.

He needs to fight sotto, JMM, diaz and other established champions in his division and even at 140 to be considered one of the elites in the sport.

he needs those names in his resume IMO.

Demarco was the best fighter he has fought so far and i don't even consider him that good.

Its not the vision, its the constant loss of blood and the constant weakening of his body. He lost a lot of blood steadily for the first 5 or so rounds from that. He didn't even panic or worry about his condition. I've never seen anything like that before. I thought the fight was going to be ruled an automatic no contest. sickening.

He slaughters Diaz. Would LOVE to see him v. Soto or JMM. I would take a prime JMM over Valero all day, but I think JMM has lost a step. Soto v. Valero is a boxing fan's dream, a ****ing high-level, high intensity WAR.

I think Valero has healing factor from xmens wolverine lol. He had a cut on his cheek bone, on one of his eye lids, and a 2 inch hole in his forehead... He bled all over, but it healed up within a few rounds. That **** was scabbed up by the end of the fight! LOL

His footwork is already excellent, he uses it plus a quick version of that Mongoose defensive style, parrying with his left hand, for his defense. More head movement couldn't hurt, but it's a totally different style of defense really. PBF does the same thing, he just doesn't use it and come forward at the same time like Valero does. As far as precision goes, he looked pretty ****ing accurate to me tonight.
