Valero's power won't be much effective over 135lbs

lol I disagree again... I think DeMarco is a very good fighter, and he did what he could. He wanted to stick the jab, circle, move and last until the mid or late rounds then come forward. It just didn't work, Valero was still getting to him. DeMarco changed the plan, got more agressive, and was getting caught even worse. He was just a good fighter in against a much better fighter, and sometimes that's just the way it goes.

If anything I have MORE respect for DeMarco, he has a hell of a chin and some heart. He was eating some serious leather in there and didn't give up until he knew it was over. He said he was feeling sick in the corner the round before it was stopped, I think it was a case like JMM v. Peden. He was just beat up to the point where he was nauseous and could barely go on. He tried though.

if he had that "el terrible" mindset coming in he could have done better. The guy stayed on the ropes too much and he was very inactive, very cautious of valero's punches right from the start. Once he tasted the power his confidence diminished.

yep, I agree with you there. Tough to come forward when you have to super cautious not to take one on the chin. It's like trying to make Manny go backwards. A lot easier said than done, and you don't wanna be the one who to try and make him do it.

Keep in mind DeMarco has a good chin which helped him survive for at least 5 rounds. Also keep in mind JMM is nearing his end and was nearly knocked out by a soft puncher in Juan Diaz. Valero would put the same kind of pressure on JMM but with more power than Diaz. If JMM blows Khan out of the water I might re consider my opinion but I doubt JMM is the same after getting pounded by Floyd. The only solid opposition I see for Valero at 135 is Funeka.

I'm not looking ahead to 140 yet. Right now I would like to see how Valero does against Funeka or Katsidis. I don't see Valero beating Bradley at 140 but I can see him beating Malignaggi and Diaz. Then again things can change. It just depends on how Valero wins in the next 1 or 2 fights.

Valero power is legit I wont accuse him of EPO, HGH, PED if he KTFO a Hugton like opponent at 140.He has power and he can do it by accumulation or 1 punch which ever.

Yeah, it didn't look like he packed all that much power in his punch. I don't think Demarco was truly hurt at any point...he was just demoralized. Sill, 27 KOs in 27 fights...impressive.
