Raw talent-wise he was dealt a **** hand but he made it up in heart and sheer will.

Too bad Lopez couldn't have had the fight out in Los Angeles with a roaring crowd of Hispanics drinking cervezas behind him, plus a couple of California -grade judges.

He gave One Time more than he bargained for. That 7th round he had One Time in trouble. Lopez can fight, there's no doubt about that. He continued to come forward. In the latter rounds his timing was just a bit off with One Time's herky jerky movement, he couldn't really find the target. There were times I thought he should have kept working behind the jab. It seemed like when he really committed in with the jab it would set up a straight right hand.
