Can anyone confirm? He's scheduled to fight on a Sauerland card, with Cengiz Koc fighting on the undercard, 8 rounds.

When he's not been injured, Valuev has always been pretty active, i like that. Hopefully it will be a meaningful opponent.

The WBA top 15 at the moment is a who's who of mediocre fighters, and other than Golota, Lyakhovich, Ruiz and Arreola (and I guess Dimitrenko and Sam in Germany), there aren't really any big names on the list. I'm sure he'll end up fighting whichever one of those guys would take the least money for the fight. I'd guess Meehan, Bidenko or Drumond.

It could be Golota's chance. That'd make some money, and I doubt he'll manage to make it to a #1 contender position! Tua would be good also, just for the visual.

On such short notice, I have serious doubts about Valuev facing any true world beaters. Of course, there are some halfway decent prospects that they could put him in with like Kevin Johnson or Chris Arreola, but I highly doubt we'll see that.

It'll be Kali Meehan, who was robbed against Brewster, and KTFO by crappy Rahman.

He also KTFO Touch Of Sleep Williamson.

Bleh is all I can say about the idea of a THRILLING Meehan vs Valuev title fight.

Another one sided win for Valuev most likely against whoever it is.
