He looked better tonight, at his age it's pretty astonishing. Jab looked better, he clinched more effectively, a bit, (you an imagine them working on it) i think his punching form is alltogether better. He wants to get in there and fight Wlad right now, he probably wouldn't win, but his chances are better now than at any other time. He's in better shape, too. I had it 116-112 to Valuev.
He looked like ****. He was rocked with some crazy haymakers Ruiz made him look like nobody. Ruiz got robbed, even his home crowd booed Valuev and cheered for Ruiz after the decision.
Robbed? What the **** is wrong with people, robbed....how was that a robbery? Let me get this straight, you are saying that was a clear win for Ruiz? You gave him what, 10 rounds?
lol. Valuev is terrible. worse than i thought. he was holding on for dear life the last few rounds. his hands are slower than i thought too. he flashed his jab occasionally but landed very few meaningful fights. ruiz landed the harder shots most of the fight. wladimir's handspeed would cut him to shreds
Valuev looked like ****, Ruiz looked like ****, who the hell cares about the decision anyway? But it was NO ROBBERY ! Stop this "germany robbery" bull**** ! Ruiz did nothing rush into Valuev arms, head down, seeing nothing where his punches landed. And Valuev was awful as ever. It not even worth discussing this. Both cannot deliever one good punch, awful.
agree with the sentiment. the term robbed is flung about all too freely these days. it should be saved for fights such as lewis-holyfield I, sweet pea - JCC etc. outright shams. not close fights that could go either way, or fights that the accusing poster didn't watch or when he has no idea how to score a fight.
No robbery at all. How can someone have Ruiz winning that one by eating jabs all night? Valuev rocked? Off balance might be but rocked?
agreed. i had ruiz winning 115-113 but i can see valuev winning by a pt but those wide ass scores are very disturbing. reminded me of Peter-Toney I.
How the hell was Ruiz robbed, it was a clear win for Valuev. Bet the Japenese judge that scored it for Ruiz received a brown envelope from someone....
had it 7-5, could be 8-4 as well. From the go it was all Ruiz. He was more active, landing more, his shots were more effective and he made Valuev fight his fight. He was attacking from the first to the final bell. Valuev was stunned and had no idea what to do. No surprise there was panic in Valuev's corner since the middle rounds. They knew they were losing. When your own home crowd is booing you after the fight in Europe, you know you lost it. And from the Valuevs face you could easily see that he knew it well.
