Valuev-Haye was Froch-Dirrell all over again

I dont think the judges can take those things into consideration when scoring unless the ref deducts a point for it.

So yes, you can expect to. Cause IIRC those are the rules.

there were definitely moments of the fight where it looked like Froch Dirrell, especially the tactical aspects of the match, Valuev stalked Haye most of the first part of the fight like Froch tried to get to Dirrell. One major diffirence is that Valuev is much bigger than Haye, but Froch is not much bigger than Dirrell, so the reach/height advantages and disadvantages was not the issue with Froch vs Dirrell. Froch and Dirrell used rough tactics which was not a problem in tonights fight...

 

Who was the fighter who was constantly holding, literally RUNNING from his opponent round after round, throwing light flurries and then falling to his knees or pushing onto his opponent against the ropes to stop any sort of fire coming back?

I'll help you out: it was Dirrell.

The guy who used his movement to avoid getting hit, landing the cleaner more effective punches and using his natural skills to control the fight was Haye.

Dirrell counter-punched at the end of the fight and looked great. He pissed away his chance at the title - Haye made sure he landed good shots and didn't let Valuev land anything in return.

Yeah but almost always one fighter always has to be negative. Dirrel was too negative and thats what cost him the fight. He was up againts a guy who was his size, and he ran around the ring and ducked illegally low, that is in my view overly negative. Haye stood in range, did NOT duck illegally low or fall and avoided punches through head movement whilst regularly landing clean punches, against a guy who is ****ing huge. Not his size.

 

Please explain how the Haye - Valuev fight was a toss up... I don't think there's any perspective one can have that scores this fight even or in favour of Valuev, without the person being incompetent or delusional. Haye won the fight plain and simple, Valuev knew it and his promoter knew it aswell... If you think there is a different outcome I'd like to see why, anyone who saw that fight and thought it was close and could go either way please explain...

 

Remember guys, if you had Froch beating Dirrell then you HAVE to have Johnson beating Dawson.

 

Scoring consistantly does not mean you always have to favour the aggressor or the guy boxing defensively. Frochs aggression was more effective than Valuevs, Haye landed more clean punches than Direll. The Froch-Dirrell fight was a lot harder to score than last nights fight IMHO because of those reasons and its a lot easier to make a case for Froch winning that it is for Valuev winning.

I scored for Dirrell and Haye but its perfectly possible to score those fights for Froch and Haye and to have still scored those fights fairly and consistantly.
