Valuev/Holy Fight under review

Thats good to hear, they might change the ruling to a draw and force the men to do it again, thats hope so anyway.

 

Sorry to be ignorant, but I've been out of touch for a spell. Can you give me a clue as to what happened for this to be going on?

I assume from what I see is that Judging must have been horrid or what happened please?

I don't see why more fights aren't put under review. Pac/Marquez I and McDermott/Williams could have been put under review. Just because Valuev/Holyfield was a world title fight doesn't mean it should get special treatment.

See, I didn't know all that ****, had only heard (read) the result. I had no idea the Real Deal really put it on his ass, and more over should now possess the HW WBA strap. That is some ol' bull **** right there, I've always been a big fan of Commander 'Vander.

Agree. There have been so many travestys that don't get looked into.

But, at least they are going to give this fight another look.

 

What I don't understand is how so many RINGSIDE scorers had Valuev winning, yet it's still considered a robbery.

Even if it was a robbery, I'm happy b/c Holyfield doesn't deserve the belt and he didn't deserve a title shot.

 

I didn't see it, but the review Suge linked me to made it sound alright, and also sounded like you'd have to be crazy to have given Valuev any more than 3 rounds. (which must be true if they are actually going to review and all that).

You're correct though, I didn't see it. The hills of WV where I was forced to chase work wasn't quite equiped with modern communications and I had to wait for my wife to send me any magazine, paper, etc with anything to get my news. So I was living a month behind. I went to a hotel to watch Zab/Clottey and got to log in then, but I'm just since Friday getting my feet wet and finding out what all's been going on.:yep

To my great delight though, when I got home OnDemand for HBO has most of the years big fights available and I have hardly slept getting caught up.

 

Evidently some people expected to see Mosley vs Margo in a HW Title bout between a 46 yo former champ, and the largest champ ever...why, I can't tell you.

The announcers made it shittier than it was too, constantly degrading Holy's achievement as it happened...and it was quite an achievement, this is a guy everyone said should have packed it up long ago. He does what he has to in order to win, and gets shitted on as bad as the ogre who robbed him. BS.

I admitted to not seeing it personally, but the reviews I've found since becoming interested in what happened say that the crowd in attendance BOOOO'd rather strongly as the verdict was announced.

I can appreciate your closing comments, but I am a biased Holy fan. I admit.
