He'll always have a career in Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings type movies. There is no fear of him.

Solis and Valuev had until April 30 to reach a deal. If no deal was reached then a purse bid was to be held. It seems the fight simply fell apart. I didn't hear anything about a purse bid.

Well, King sure knows how to take care of his fighters, LOL.

I wonder if Valuev now wishes he would have taken the $2.5mil from Vitali? Or no?

Here's how the discussion went between Valuev and Don King:

Valuev: "Don.. you hear news?? Vitali now say he will not fight me, he chose some Poland man?? What about my money? You said I can get $4 million dollar????"

Don King: "Hah Hah, Nicolaj my friend, trust me, after 30 years in this business I know how this works. I am Don King! This is just a smoke screen. These Ukrainian robots will come crawling back offering you more money, trust me. This is a rock solid bet."

Valuev: "Don.. what if not? We have other plan yes??"

Don King: ... CLICK ...[dial tone]

Sadly, that could quite possibly be a true account. With King you never know.

I think its a very good move on his part.. Let's face it.. He's not beating any of the top guys, and he's almost reached the point where he's going to be used as a mere build-up opponent for upcoming fighters.. Not a good position to be in.. Even though he was very limited and unimpressive to watch, he at least compiled a respectable record and defended an alphabet title for a while.... Leave it at that and call it a career.
