What heavyweight matchups would you like to see?

Adamek lost, sure, but everybody loses to the amazing K's, and he didn't disgrace himself doing so as did the repulsive Haye.

Helenius is amazingly advanced considering the number of fights he's had, even far ahead of the K's at that stage of their careers.

There's more talent in the heavyweight division now than there has ever been before. Lot's of big strong up and comers from all over the world, but I agree with you about match making - and everything else behind the scenes in boxing is probably shadier that ever - matchmaking, and certainly the refereeing and judging, the networks and tv rights, and all the rest.

Yeah, maybe you're right. I don't know much about WBC policies/corruption. It goes without saying that Stiverne/Austin was not a real "eliminator", given that neither of these guys should be rated Top 5 by any sane sanctioning body. At the time it was marketed as a paper title fight, but then later it came out that somehow it's an eliminator:huh

Point is, Vitali is a great champion and he's bent over backwards to satisfy the WBC AND his last 2 fights were against the #1 WBC contender at the time. To make him fight some lame Don King fighter when he only wants 2 more big fights is something that even Jose Sulieman would be ashamed of.

I'd wager a guess that he has big floppy hair balls, actually.

    Kiwis on steroids.

    In an ideal world:

    Wlad v arreola
    Vitali v povetkin
    Thompson v helenius
    Chagaev v chambers
    Dmitrenko v adamek
    Boystov v fury
    Solis v perez

Confirming my point that it really doesn't matter, between what's left. Valuev's only chance is if Vitali injures himself. Just a big version of everybody else, in terms of how much of a challenge he isn't.
