Don't think anybody has ever been close to KO him! He lost to Chagaev, had all kinds of difficulties against Gerald Nobles and Larry Donald.......

It was obviosly in the Bergeron fight, 2nd round.

Bergeron landed good right to the jaw and Valuev was really hurt. Bergeron couldn't land a single punch later in that round because of poor skill level or something else.

Valuev was really close to being KD and he admitted later that it was very hard punch.

Valuev took many shots from different fighters (some of them are bigger punchers than Bergeron) in the other fights, but wasn't hurt like that.

 

Right on the spot. I saw that too. Valuevs knees trembled like jelly, I already expected him to go down. I'd like to see if Valuev could get up from a KD given his stature. That fight also showed that Valuev can't handle southpaws, good for him that Bergeron only is a better journeyman.

 

Monte Barrett hit him with some big shots that seemed to wobble him a bit.
