Valuev said:"The more I do not see anyone. Alexander can adequately respond to Vladimir, but that he would have to revise some things, "- said Valuev. According to a boxer to defeat Klitschko Povetkin must be made to move around the ring. "We need to attack from different flanks is the only chance to break through his defense: get close and strike. Other options I do not see, because the difference in growth would not be on hand to Sasha, "- said Valuev. As you know, August 27 Povetkin will fight against Ruslan Chagaev. I think that he is right. To bad that he doesn't have Teddy Atlas in his corner.I know Atlas has disadvateges but he is expert for style which can beat Klitsckos and Povetkin has tools to do it.He has speed, power, timing and I think that he can take a punch. He reminds me little on Joe Louis.Don't get me wrong Joe Louis is the probably best heavyweight ever but Povetkin is very good fighter. My prediction on upcoming match Povetkin-Chagaev is win for Powetkin.Chagaev is past his best,he is not old but he had hepatitis ans seems never recovered from that. The main problem for Povetkin vs Klitschko will be motivation and determination. He must be ready to die in ring and never give up..I know that Povetkin can't be fighter like Joe Frazier or Mike Tyson always at attack but he must be aggressive vs Klitschkos ecspecially Wladimir.Like Valuev said get inside and throw hard punches, combinations. For more posts and rare boxing videos please visit

http://bigpunchers.blogspot.com/

Against Wlad, Povetkin would go the same way Ibragimov and Chagaev did. These pudgy Russians try only so hard. You'll see no Thrilla in Manilla's .
Ibragimov & Chagaev are counter-punchers, they did try, but Wlad is extremely difficult to counter, because he's careful not to leave openings.
Povetkin is tailor-made for Wlad, and this is precisely the reason the fight didn't and probably never will materialise.
I'm pretty sure it will be mandated, and Potvetkin will have to accept if he gets a 40/60 purse split. But, I could see it not happening if David Haye finds a way to get the #1 contender status in the WBA below Chag/Pot winner and Wlad(superduper champ). If Pot/Chag winner chooses to take the fight with Haye, and loses then of course Haye would get the rematch he seeks, which IMO is the most likely scenario.
If Povetkin gets a 'regular' WBA belt there's no way to mandate him to fight Wlad - he will find himself in a nice cosy situation where he we'll be able to 'defend' against nobodies while waiting for the Klitschkos to retire and then strike like a true Russian vityaz (legendary warrior)
I thought that he would be Wlad's mandatory? And like I said, if Haye doesn't retire and assuming he beats Chag, I think it's either haye or Wlad........Nowhere for him to run really.:huh
Povetkin would get utterly destroyed by Wlad in a terribly one-sided beatdown. I doubt we'll ever see the fight. Sauerland has been steering clear of it, Povetkin has. Remember all this WADA drug testing non-sense Povetkin tried to pull? Then Wlad agreed and then suddenly Povetkin isn't interested in fighting at all :deal
In one of the weirdest fights Ive ever seen Chambers was schooling Povetkin and then midfight he let off the accelerator. He didnt look gassed, but just allowed Povetkin to close the gap and outwork him. All I will say is Wlad and Vitali are special fighters and will take a special fighter that can 1.) Go the distance with them 2.) Can punch 3.) Will push them back and be the agressor. You cannot allow the bigger man to use his size and reach on you. You cannot outbox them youll have to tradeshots. Even little Chris Byrd had more heart than most of these chickens and it paid off. Vitali was ahead, but the fight was alot more competitive than what the scores read.
