I suppose they have to show what people tend to watch.

We seem to be a nation of football addicts, so we get a lot of that, which sucks - more cricket, rugby and boxing - Sky if you are listening.

Sky Sports News is pretty good though, but again.... too much football!

Referring to Bunce's post.... there does seem to be plenty to go at in the near future, which is good.... would like to see Hayemaker a bit more active over the next year or so with more televised shows - the last one was excellent (no Commonwealth title fights though please!)

Whether the amateur boxing will be any better over 3x3's remains to be seen (by me anyway) but it cannot be any worse than the stuff we were forced to endure in the Olympics, which was embarrassing for the sport as a whole.

From what I can gather Sky show tons of ****in cricket!

Every time I check the (radio) streams there are all England matches in all forms, quite often one other international game from other parts of the world, in county cricket one 20/20 game a night, one pro 40 game a night, its insane!

There is plenty of cricket yes...... I'd like to see less pro-40 (cos it's pointless) and less T20 (because the novelty has worn off) - more 50 over cricket both domestic and international..... the Test coverage is pretty much spot on.

I suppose I am one of very few that can sit and watch cricket all day if I am in a relaxed mood, though it doesn't beat Six Nations weekend..... me, my sofa and a 12 pack - four for each match!

i really think setanta need to bring us at least 1 fight card a week. 2-3 a month is not enough. Home of boxing, i know how much these fights cost to get the rights for, its about 50k for a fight card like Marquez vs Diaz, so the lesser cards like a Urango vs Berto will be half of that at the most. I wanna know where the cash is going.

The reason i get into setantas back is because the built themselves up, and have not kept to that level. the amount of fights they show has gone down, just like what happened with sky. i give it a year before all we see is the top rank deal.

I personally think that Hennessy has asked for too much money. Perhaps if Froch had the balls to look after his own TV deal he would have been shown.

I am pretty happy with the coverage that Setanta have.... for me there has to be a balance between quantity and quality. Better to have one good card every other week than a **** one every week, surely?

Some of the fights Sky show aren't even relevant - Commonwealth title fights all over the place with very little behind the main event, Setanta are actually bringing fighters such as Price, Groves etc to our attention, and they are fighting people capable of actually dressing themselves!

Boxing hour is also good, though I would prefer it if it had a flexible slot.... i.e. a show with plenty to get through could go on for 90 mins rather than cramming it all in, after all Setanta News are pretty much like Sky Sports News, where many stories are simply on a newsreel.

I agree, Setanta truely are the "home of boxing". Nobody else is doing anything like it. Sky are ripping people off with shitty PPV's and showing Afrobums against Cleverly. Occasionally you get a decent British title fight. Hidden away on ITV4 is Hennessy's lot, which is okay.

The only complaint I have is I want to see Mikkel Kessler on Bunce's hour and I will PM him to this effect!

He'd only get slated for fighting Afrobums :deal

I think Mikkel would be good on Buncey's show.

    - Ask him whats going on with his promoter/legal issues

    - Ask him about his fight with Calzaghe, a British boxing legend

    - Ask him what he makes of Carl Froch in general, and Carl Froch/Taylor

    - Ask him about the English side of his family

    :happy

Off-Topic: Will you also leave Icey for Canada as so many of your compatriots do? This economic crisis must really effect your country...

Yep it does. Inflation has made food prices through the roof! Also, it is quite strange to see these suburban areas of housing development that have just been abandoned due to lack on finance. It is ghostly.

I won't be leaving because I'm settled with my GF and my own job hasn't been effected. Building industry is ****ed and menial type jobs have been slashed. But people just get on with things as best they can without complaints.

Girlfriend was the primary reason as she lived here, but I also got offered a job for much more money than I'd get for the equivelent in England so it made sense at that point.

Why do you live in Bangkok except the ladyboys?
