After all his previous smack talk about wanting to fight him? Or the mandatories excuses etc?

    Oh Valuev......:patsch

This is a simple switch game. Valuev gets the boot from King / Sauerland, and Haye gets "his" title to "defend" till judgement day, for a teenyweeny amount of OPTIONS on his next 45 fights. Valuev is bodily at the end of the road, so he was about to go anyways. Here comes the old King (Don) and his new pawn.

Well, if Valuev suspects that King wants to dump him for Haye, maybe he will actually come out and try to stop Haye. I really believe that Valuev holds back in his fights.

Good point! I never considered that, yeah I can definitely see this being a Don King patented 'switch' move! :good

I still hope Haye gets KTFO tho......

Chagaev's fight with Wlad made it possible to untie hands to WBA's officials and leave Valuev do whatever he wants. Plus Vitaly said Valuev isn't so interesting to him at the moment (considering Haye for September).

I'm telling you, Valuev is the only one who enjoys the situation more than anyone else

I just want Valuev to get as hairy as he can between now and the fight. When Haye steps into the ring, I want to see a grizzly bear across the ring from him.

I suspect this is the case. Don King was never going to negotiate with K2, and vice versa. King will surely have options on subsequent Haye fights if he wins.
