Is there actually anyone who would want to see this fight again? Even casual followers of the sport who got suckered by the whole 'David/Goliath' angle wouldn't,they surely cant fall for the same spin twice, especially now they know that Valuev is a lumbering bafoon and not the all conquering giant they first believed. Haye was effective but the fight was painfully boring and the rematch is just pointless. If it did go ahead it would get nowhere near the PPV numbers first generated(IMO) Why would Valuev even want it? He said himself after the fight that Haye was too fast for him. I'd be very disappointed if this fight materialises:nono
With all the challenges still out there, a rematch with the Freak from the East would not interest me in the slightest.
i can't see it happening. just doesn't make commercial sense - i'm sure some kind of financial compensation will be agreed for the rematch not to happen
WTF? That **** again? No thanks. Haye vs Ruiz then possibly Johnson, Povetkin, Boystov, Harrison or maybe even the Klits is what should happen next.
Remember the quotes on the scene after the fight? Valuev doesn't seem interested in a rematch and conceded defeat and said that he's fed up of fighting smaller guys (don't think he realises how big he actually is compared to an average sized HW!) because he finds them too tricky to fight.
