It's not his fault there is a rematch clause. I think he'll get out of it... don't think he'll fight a Klitschko next though.

Exactly, rematch clauses r common place in heavy-weight title fights. I mean when he was due to fight the Klitschkos there was some about sayin he got a bum deal having to fight the bro's a maximum of 3 times in total, but including a rematch clause that would be normal. Ruiz stepped aside for Haye to fight Valuev 1st so its right he gets the next shot follwed by Valuev's rematch/voluntary if they pay him off so thats fair do's imo. Builds up the suspense 4 when he FINALLY gets in with brothers grim.

Who next instead then HeavyT? Big Audley would sell big time in the Uk if he beats Sprott, nice tune up for a Klitschko end of year..

He'll pay step aside and have a crack at a Klit hopefully. Whatever he has to pay Valuev to step aside, he will make more than that on the difference between a Valuev II and either Klit.

Any other boxer in the World who spoke so much trash then followed it up with the likes of Barrett-Valuev-Ruiz then possibly Valuev again as opponents would be slated on this forum.

Valuev/Ruiz are the two most heavily critisied heavyweights of the last 10 years. He supposedly fought Monte Barrett because he said he read on some forums that this would be a good fight.

    We're being conned bigtime.

Its so bad,its not even funny.

I think he should be entitled to a voluntary rather than be forced into two mandatories one after the other unless part of the rematch clause stated it was due immediately.

Valuev seems to care more about the money than the glory (turning down a Klitscko fight because it wasn't enough $) so hopefully he'll accept a step aside fee.

I thought it was a legit business plan going after the WBA strap before fighting either Klitschko so that he could increase his share of the potential purse.

Now that Wlad seems so desperate to fight him though presumably he could negotiate a bigger split even if he was to vacate. That way it would settle the argument about which one he was going to fight as well since Wlad seems to want the fight for personal reasons where as Vitali wants it for the belt as much as anything.

    Can't see him vacating though.

    We're not being conned.

He had a fight lined up with Wladimir Klitschko which only fell through because of well documented events. Also, apart from fighting either Klitschko, Barret, Valuev and Ruiz, when all their experience is taking into account, is not a bad CV for someone who had only had 1 fight at Heavywight prveiously in today's standings.

Judge him in 3-4 years time otherwise you just end up sounding like someone who just hates the guy.

No, but this isn't the 1970's either. As Buncey said, Haye should be compared to his peers not with history.
