I scored all rounds for Haye, so i had it 120:108. Easy fight to score, cause only one man was landing clean.
My rounds went thusly: Haye Haye Haye Valuev Valuev Valuev Valuev Valuev Valuev Haye Valuev Haye I can see it going the other way, but I had it scored for Valuev. If one guy presses the action the whole round and lands 10-15 light punches, and the other guy throws a combo and lands two harder punches, I'll usually give it to the guy who did more, unless the guy is hurt by one of those two punches. That said, every round was fairly close except the 1st, 7th and 12th, and I think there are a pretty wide range of valid scores you could come out with for this one, depending on how you score fights. Edit: Went back to my blog to confirm how I actually scored it.
Im just saying if anyone deserved to win it was haye..he made valuev miss alot and im pretty fair to both boxers when scoring, there was alot of close rounds...it wasnt clear cut by any means but haye just about deserved it imo.
Maybe Valuev was hitting 10-15 times a round, but definately not landing. Valuev did not even landed as many light punches as Haye did land hard and clean punches.
good post, tbh i think there is a case for both..but haye was in contol unlike some who are on the backfoot and you could see that...if valuev was given the decision i wouldnt have argued against too much because like i said there definatly was a case for both boxers.
I disagree. To me, it seemed that Valuev was landing a pretty solid percentage of his jabs in the middle rounds, and he was blocking most of the punches that Haye threw as well. It's not like I'm the only one who thinks this. Didn't the Sky commentator also have that score for Valuev?
