now that would be funny to see. after holyfield i guess it would be no surprise who valuev would be up against next. butterbean was 417lb at last fight.
what would be the combined weight of these 2? like 700-800lbs? holy**** would they need a specially made ring?
Does anyone else look at this thread and wonder: "What in the name of all things good and right has happened to the heavyweight division when a legitimate argument about a titlist involves Butterbean?"
Valouev is much better than the ignorant idiots think he is. His new trainer wants him to box too much, just get a decision while he could be getting knockouts.
i actually agree with that. its as if they are trying to play as safe as possible. i think he is capable of more ko's then what he has on his record but is just taking advantage of his reach. fair enough too i suppose.
In my eyes Valuev is professional sportsman, not a killer. He simply wants an income for his family. So if he doesn't have to knock his opponent out to win, it's ok for him. The 'old' Valuev overwhelmed his opponents with his power b/c that's all he was capable of. E.g. vs. ex-CW-champ Dominguez. Now he can pace himself down, has something like a guard, moves a lot better, uses a good jab and even some combos, and scores well. Without any doubt he is a true top-10 HW *boxer* today.
That better be some strong canvas... :hop If it's one of those "shortened" 16-foot rings, the ref would have to hang off the ropes on the outside patch of apron. If HW title fights really end up in circuses this blatant, we may as well put kangaroos back in the ring, too.
You obviously never saw Bean/Rhode. You cannot f with da Bean. Valuev is in real trouble here Bean ko 1.
