That useless tick is ALWAYS injured and can never seem to get it together. Why the hell did they scrap the entire card? If Chagaev is the one with the blood infection, most likely, then I see why Valuev wouldn't want to fight him but why cancel all of it?
As others have said, Chagaev's rather listless and monosyllabic showing in the past few days does make sense if it is hepatitis again.

I don't understand why the whole card has to be called off. Meehan and Brewster are still world-class heavyweights who could have headlined the event albeit against lesser opponents. When world title fights are scheduled it is best for all parties involved to have a fighter on standby. The crazy thing is that fighter was actually in the same city. It's not like Meehan was fighting in Montreal or something. He was right there on the same card. How could they not get a deal done? They could have bumped Meehan into the main event against Valuev and gave Cerrone Fox the check he was going to receive anyway. Not to compare the magnitude of the events but Jose Ribalta was kept on standby for Mike Tyson just in case Tony Tubbs would be unable to fight for whatever reason. A major show in Tokyo...you better have a replacement fighter just in case. As for Chagaev...just go away. Go the **** away!
