He was going to fight on the undercard anyway.

I still think this story is bull****.

    If this is true...

Meehan is a very good opponent at such late notice. Very good indeed. I liked Meehan but he's been so inactive the last few years. He's on a KO streak though!

Ah ok, didn't know he was fighting that night anyway. In that case, it does make more sense.

The story could well be bull****. But news.com isn't a tabloid newspaper. There is a chance at least that the journalist believes it is true.

if martin rogan had to beat sam sexton...i bet you he would have been on that shortlist as a replacement.

As i wrote in the European forum (where I somehow saw it first):

"One punch from world title" sounds a little awkward when you're up against Valuev, but anyways, I wish Kali good luck if that's the case. Although as a Brewster fan I would rather see Lamon take on Valuev.

Chagaev must be top of the charts when it comes to pulling out of fights, the number he has pulled out of is ridiculous.

This is very disapointing, but its not completely unexpected where Chagaev is concerned, is it? He has a history of serious illness and injury.

All you can do now is save the show...

Lamon Brewster and Kali Meehan are on the undercard. I would have thought Brewster was the more obvious replacement. They are lucky to have good heavies on the undercard to step in.
