    Contract signed!

If Golota beats Ray Austin on 7.11 in China he will face Nikolay Valuev 6 weeks later in USA!

"- How long I was thinking before signing the contract? 3 minutes. No, two minutes. Man, there was nothing to think about!" - AG when asked wasn't he worried about short time between the bouts.

Sam Collona said that they couldn't cancel the Austin fight so they accepted the proposition to fight Valuev only 6 weeks after fight in China

    Go Golota!!! :happy :happy :happy

Although Valuev is a TERRIBLE styles matchup for Andrew. If he's going to win this one, he's really going to have to bring everything he has to the table...he needs to loosen up in the ring, stop being so stiff, and put some speed in his punches.

I like both guys but I'll be rooting for Golota. What an accomplishment that would be to finally get a belt after so many failures. It would be very...well, very boxing.

I think that Golota can beat Valuev. He likes to have space and time to box and Valuev ain't no Usain Bolt.
Golota is a big HW so size difference won't be a factor in this fight

    Go Andrew!

As expected, King won't give away his only heavyweight champion this soon.

Golota fights first Ray Austin in November, and if he wins (he must!) he will face Valuev in December

Golota attempting to go to the body might result in disaster, considering how tall Valuev is. Gerald Nobles tried it years ago against Valuev and ended up getting DQ'ed while doing well enough vs. Valuev.

Golota,eh?? I thought that he would be facing Kahi Meehan at the end of this year somewhere in Germany.Guess that I must have been wrong.
Golota is past his prime, but still has a good reputation and quite a lot of name recognition.
Guess that he as well as Valuev will earn a a good paycheck!

I think Golota could have beaten Valuev handily when he was younger, but Golota is slow now. McBride was able to land lots of punches.

the 117th chance for a world title for golota and he still won't win it, no matter how much more shots they will give him.
