Meehan can't generate a ticket sale from a child. GOLOTA still has a fan following; I'm one of them fans, too... GO GOLOTA!

6 weeks between fights? Unheard of these days. But i think Golota can do it. Austin will be like a sparring session, then the real training can begin for the giant. If that fight is in the USA, hopefully the crowd will be behind Andy.

    ((((((((GO GOLOTA))))))))

    6 weeks? I'll believe it when I see it.:deal

Hope King wins the purse bid and brings it in the US.

I do too.... I don't really care for the German production team and that awful bright boxing ring all flared in White.... Too hard on the eyes... Another thing, I hate Showtime's "Tape-Delay" bullcrap.... HBO has the right idea about starting the show early for oversea's fights.... HBO!!

Golota has no stamina and is not much faster than Valuev - he'll get TKOed in the latter rounds...

Two fights in two months, not bad at all for Golota, hope he can handle it mentally.

There's a lot to this that doesn't add up with the biggest factor staging a fight only six weeks after another contingent heavyweight fight that is anything but a tuneup or walkover.

I find it hard to believe that any promoter would be comfortable banking on Golota under these circumstances. A bad cut or ko loss would sink the entire promotion.

    This seems kind of screwy.

No purse bid - King and Sauerland all agrees that ValuevGolota makes them the most money when letting him fight Golota...

Hey, Golota is still a name (albeit he lost all of his world title shots) and might give Valuev bigger and better recognition in the US - remember, they want to set up Valuev vs. either Klitschko bro, so this fight is a great idea in which Valuev will look really good.

Really? Golota went the full 12 rounds against a young & strong Mollo back in Jan., at age 40 & poured in on Mollo in the last few rounds, looking fresher than the kid did.
