The matter at hand here is the fight was a FIX and the WBA and its judges as well as Holyfield and Valuev were in on it. Evander is now guaranteed ANOTHER payday for going along with it.

I would tend to agree if Holy won because Valuev didn't look as if he even tried.I wasn't shocked when the ogre got the decision but why would Holyfield make him look so bad and risk all this bad publicity if he was in on the fix

because holy keeps saying he is fighting to unify titles or to
    win a championship
when we all know its for the money
so if he would have won, that would have fulfilled his goal
and he would have no reason to fight on...
so he loses controversially and now he is gonna get
another title shot, which brings more money

Because he is fighting for the money. If he had not gone along with the "deal" and lost he would be out of the mix. So he went along with the program where nobody gets hurt or beat up and he loses "controversialy" only to get another shot and more money. The promoters to the WBA judges, Holyfield and Valuev were in on it. Its just like the old days of mob controlled boxing.

I don't think this was a fix....Just very bad officiating and nothing more. If Holyfield went into this fight with the understanding that he was supposed to lose, he would not have made Valuev look like the buffoon that he is.........

    Possible.

Now that the "real" fights are faded memories :verysad.

Don't blame the guy if he did decide to cash out as much as he could.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if it were fixed.

  10. That was a horrible fight:patschfixed or not?? thats why i never bet big money on fight's, because the shits as crooked as a barrel of snakes, Holy has to accept bad decisions as long as he fight's over seas because they won't license him here in the USA:yep..
Valuev is ****, for as big as he is he's a ****ing dog, he looked scared to get hit by a 46yr old man ****ing big dumb oaf..

We have come no further than the sad day when Joey Curtis stopped Mike Weaver after receiving a packet from KIng and Dokes was handed the same belt... WBA...

It was DON KING sucks then, and in Switzerland it was Sauerland sucks just as bad..

Commission never does a damned thing either.. Old men with greay hair still milk the game to build the ivory towers where they sit happy and smug at our expense and the expense of the fighters who risk thier lives every time they fight..

Just watched the fight, there was no robbery in the decision, I thought Valuev won.

Please, forget about a rematch, one boring fight is enough.

Gotta admire Holy, I'm a fan, his stamina, how mobile he was out there, still being competitive at 46 y old, but he forgot to attack Valuev, put up the punches to get the rds. Kept constantly running away, pointless and excessive footwork, he could have been more agressive, showing a bit more of a killer instict, I guess that's just too much age .

Prime Holy would have decapitated Valuev in that fight, he wouldn't miss that gigantic head even if he wanted to.

Now, on Valuev's, jeeeezzz, talk about a one dimentional boxer, always the jab, not enough 1-2 combinations, he could throw straight rights once in a while, it may surprise his opponents, use a little more hooks.

I really can't see him beating Chagaev, he hasn't showed anything good enough to make me think otherwise.

He'd better jump at the oportunity to fight Wlad right away, his last chance for the biggest payday of his life, specially now that Chagaev is already scheduled to fight. If not, after he gets beat by Chagaev, he may not get another shot, since a loss will set him back quite a while and he is not getting any better already at age 35.
