How will half land? He hardly landed **** against old ass shot Holyfield. How's he going to land against a quicker man with better defence? He won't even be able to catch him or get into range to throw a meaningful punch.

what says he needs to gain alot of weight ?:think

  3. To both guys - holyfield is a natural hw now, he's used to carrying that weight - hopkins will need to go around 190 else if just one punch lands it'll shatter him to his core.

Hopkins will need to go close to land significant punches - open to uppercut, especially against that size disparity.

If this is the case - why isnt Joe clamouring for a chance at Valuev - he'll be able to hit him at will, move out the way and do that for 12 rounds - because a hw punch, even if not great at hw, is very very very hard for a LHW - look at the attention to David Haye - and he's a natural HW draining to make CW!

    Valuev's stamina is top-notch?
He was huffing and puffing the whole fight while doing nothing.
It was the russian giant who seemed to be 46 years old.

By the way, Valuev's slow soft jab will be useless against Hopkins.
Hopkins will slip it, shoulder-roll it all night long. His lateral movement will make Valuev hesitant to throw it as in the Holyfield fight.

Valuev's jab will be like thick molasses to a defensive guru who's faced the quick-fire jabs of Winky, Calzaghe, and Jones jr.

After the fight, the debate will be - did Valuev land anything?

I didnt buy the Holyfield/Valuev fight, so I say how or good Valuev looked, I was just going by what I seen of him in the past.

You underestimate Valuevs reach advantage over Hopkins, he may not have a piston of a jab, but it's constant and it will connect on Hopkins, maybe not early in the fight, but as the fight goes deeper, you will see it start to land more and more.

I predict Hopkins will win, but I wouldnt put any money on it, thats for sure.
