***Valuev vs. Liakhovich Round by Round***

Yea rly..... Valuev is doninating.... Sergei didnt get a round man.

 

Liakhovich had the right idea in the second, but he just doesn't have the energy to slip and get inside the jab.

fight in the middle of the ring. Valuev using his range with the jab but not landing yet. Jabbing at the chest it seems (maybe cause of his height) double jab misses for giant. wolf misses with a jab.. Valuev ands a stiff jab, double jab blocked, wolf comes back with a left hook that lands. lands some punches to the body. wolf lands a double jab. lands a left hook to the head but no damage. valuev lands a clubbing blow to the head a la PETER. 40 seconds left. Valuev partially lands a double jab. very tentative round.

Lyakovich 10-9

 

Strike that. 117-111.

 

Liakhovich is able to land a few good hooks, but whenever he does Valuev almost immediately clonks him back in kind. And inbetween that action, Valuev's jab is thudding away.

Valuev is fighting very smart. Jab jab let Lyakhovich fall in to where his shoulder is under the jab, that way he can't counter the coming uppercut. Very smart fighting by Valuev.

 

I been saying this for a couple years now, Wlad is the better big man, but he isn't the bigger big man, and we both know his chin is no where near Valuevs. My money would be on Wlad via stoppage or UD, but I wouldnt be surprised to see Valuev get into Wlads head and catch Wlad with something big during there fight. Can You see Wlad trying to lay on Valuevs back on the break?

 

Best Vauev in ages I have to say, decent snappy jab, mixed with the right and an occasional uppercut, that's good technical variety for Valuev. :yep

 

It's been fine up to now, but now my stream seems kaput.

 

Anybody noticing Valuev has actually shown some really decent bodywork?

Wolf jabbing to the body and landing but not hurting. Valuev tries a double jab that misses. now lands a double jab nicely. another one. misses an overhand right. wolf lands a jab. Valuev lands a right to the body. landsa a 1-2 partialy lands a jab. another big shot to the body. Valuev in control. throws another 1-2 that is ducked. lands a left hook now. Wolf covering up. still in the center of the ring. Valuev lands another jab.10 seconds left. Valuev lands a big 1 -2 and another powershot to close the round nicely.
