    how is meehan even able to fight for a title...its unification time...valuev should fight Wladimir after he successfully defends against povetkin.

    TOS was ranked quite high when Meehan upset him. He just maintained that ranking since.

    maybe the fact that he is ranked no.3 has something to do with it.
    usually means he deserves a shot at the title soon regardless of personal opinion.

    I see no problem preventing such a fight in Spring of 2009 as both Klitschko vs Povetkin and Valuev vs Meehan would happen around the same time (maybe on the very same date, December 13)

    People seem to forget Valuev keeps very busy for a big man, so he will take a keep busy fight before he fights Chagaev again (which he has to do), and then we will see what happens down the line.

    If valuev vs meehan and Klitschko vs povetkin happen same time than yeah that would be cool if spring of 09' that could make another unification fight.

    Did you see how Briggs and Rahman got their last title shots? They beat like 4 total tomato cans in a row. That is about all it takes these days as long as you pay your sanctioning fees. :patsch
