Uppercuts? Unless he throws a variation of the uppercut like off the video game street fighter (where the fighter LEAPS off the ground to do a spinning uppercut) I don't see Mike being able to land an uppercut to the head. The only reason this fight is the least bit interesting is to see Mike knock down a tree. That's basically what it'd be...
You are absolutely right, why would someone throw uppercuts at a tall boxer unless he's bending over from bodyshots.
Tyson would get on the inside and go to that long body of Valuev, and would basically land every single punch that he would throw simply Valuev is just so slow and doesn't have any defense, on top on that massive head. He would have a hard making the distance against a young Tyson.
Exactly, Tyson was just too quick when he was young. Vaulev would of thought a Tasmanian Devil with a sledgehammer was on that butt.
Tyson would go to town. He would slip the jap and begin to windmill on the inside. I think Valuev has a pretty good chin. So i'll give it till the 3rd round till the ref stops it.
Tyson struggled with taller fighters but those fighters (Green, Tucker, Smith) were much quicker than Valuev, who is like molasses and is pretty damn easy to hit. The chopping down a tree analogy sounds good to me. Tyson would probably stop him and if he didn't he'd walk to an easy decision while landing plenty of bombs along the way.
Tyson wasn't tall for a heavyweight the majority of his fights were against tall fighters. He had trouble with guys who clinched and tied him up. That sapped his energy.
