Super hard fight to score, but I don't know how Haye's huggers are saying it was a clear win. He clearly won the 12th, thats about it. When Mayweather runs and potshots, he's running his way to a victory, when Haye runs and....runs some more, he clearly wins a champion's belt? Hay had rounds where he didn't throw more than 5 times. Valuev looked much better than I expected. I expected a 120-108 fight for Haye. Valuev's defense was quite decent, his punching was slow but that was expected, and when Haye wasn't throwing at all, Valuev's 2-3 landed jabs actually looked better. No one was a clear winner, but I can only imagine Haye truimphant **** talking like he beat up Valuev, rather than ran and threw maybe only the last 2-3 rounds.

I am a Haye fan, but Valuev won. He was more active, and landed the better jabs, Haye was very disappointing.

It was totally rigged. King sorted it so the more marketable boxer won, to try and create unification matches. The scorecards were bull****.

your one of the very few i think mate!

it wasnt a fight fans fight, it was a BOXING fans fight!! im sure if you watch it again,or wait until we get the punch stats, you will change your mind unless you dont score good boxing!!

(p.s. mayweather landed nearly twice as many punches as de la hoya did :tong)

better jabs? do you know which punch the jab is? see every jab haye throws? theres a 9/10 chance it landed, valuevs landed about 1/10 to be generous

btw, again, jabs to the body do count, and can be the most effective punches out there imo, anybody whos read my posts will know Ive always thought this, and Haye proved it, count every jab to the body Haye lands.

Nico was landing left jabs to the body while being the aggressor, particularly in the middle of the fight. Haye would maybe land something at the end of the rounds, but minutes would go by in each round before he would even try anything. I was often accused of being good at scoring fights, but in this case I'm no good, apparently.

Haye is a more exciting fighter, so I guess its good for boxing. Come to my gym on monday and spar with me, k.

Aye mate, I know what a jab is, No need to get narky. The **** jabbed Haye right on the dial a few times, although the camera conveniently kept on cutting away when Haye got caught. I like Haye, he is great for the sport, but you need to be a biased or corrupt moron if you think he won the fight. It was a ****ing boring fight, the worst I have seen, but Valuev won on jabs alone, they caught Haye flush several times.

I love pure boxing, and I would not condemn a mover. Haye was not moving, he was running and posing.

No winners here, just fans losing out on their hard earned cash. The fight went as planned, boring and defensive, runaway style. Glad I missed it.

Contracting your chin when punches come towards it = moving, hitting correctly and scoring = punching. moving punching and scoring= boxing.

And what was Valuev doing, not much, Haye didnt do much, and its understandable that the challenger should force the fight but at the same time this kind of bout is different in the sense that Valuev is so much bigger he should be using that advantage much more if he is a champ. So no one can really moan, the only people who really moan just didnt want Haye to win cause what does Valuev bring to boxing other than size ? Nothing

Haye knows he is chinny so he wants big fights at HW, money thn out, he knows any hw could knock him out, but Haye V Either Klit would be better than that Arreola bullsh*t, people slate Haye for talking sh*t while working his arse off in the gym while backing peeps like Arreola and the rest who go up against the Klits carrying flab. F*ck em, all them bods are sluggers at best

Haye may well get kod soon enough but it will be a boxing match until then

yes he did, and they all landed, I can throw a hundred punches and miss, if my opponent throws one jab and lands, he wins the round.

If Floyd and Haye are example of bad boxers then I'm glad I quit the sport. maybe it should die, because it seems none of us can agree even on what boxing is anymore.
